a dedication

recently, I have been hurt badly and as a result I hurt others as well. those whom I have hurt I deeply apologize with the utmost of my heart, sincerely, and I vow never to do it again. This is the only thing I can promise, and this is the only prayer I can offer, that I truly wish that no one would be hurt again.

All the world knows pain and grief
All living creatures know this to be true
All living creatures want to be free from suffering
And for pain to never return
I do
In this moment I am suffering
I dedicate my suffering to all life
I take all the suffering of other living creatures
Upon me now, in order
That they may be free from grief and affliction
May all pain of loss and unkindness be vanquished
All our cruelty shall no longer prowl
as a blood lusting tiger
within us now
Let all suffering come to an end
I cast this prayer into the world
And with my pure incoming breath destroythe
Dross and violence of this time
And blackness comes into my heart
There my pain and loss die
Transformed from out of darkness into the healing brilliance
Of the clear light
And as my breath rushes out in power, compassion and beauty
All beings are free from suffering

For all whom I have hurt by my reckless and self cherishing actions, I sincerely wish I could undo all the harm that I have caused to you, only if you allow me to help heal your wounds to make up for my mistakes.

This is my prayer to you. May your pain and emotional wounds go away. I wish to take them back, and bear all the emotional pain that I have brought you.
