Busy…busy
On Christmas eve, I was forced into Izam’s costume, followed by Mivayi, Hyde and finally, Mana as that was the Christmas present that I had promised. Thank god no one there took any photos, because with mascara and the insane amount of makeup, I really looked like them! Chills ran down my spine when I saw myself in the mirror side-by-side with the photos!!! Lesson: Makeup is evil, and only meant for girls.
Okays, Elise’s cousins from Japan are Atsuko (16), Mayuko (20) and Masaki (21) from Japan (Family names concealed on request) and Roy (17), Grealdine (19) and Michael (22). Everyone’s happy and the came here to enjoy Malaysia’s natural beauty, so we went to Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam on the 24th and celebrated Christmas at Elise’s house. And as usual, they were really happy to run around the woods and meet the leeches there.
One thing for sure, everyone (including her Irish cousins) knew Japanese, thanks to Elise’s Japanese propaganda except for me, in which I can only use simple phrases. Fortunately, this time they did not single me out as everyone used English. BTW, Elise’s Japanese cousins have the highest English score in their district.
Then, on Monday, we went to Cameron highlands by air. Yes. By airplane. (Read: Air Asia). Everyone plucked strawberries and did lots of jungle trekking where the mosquitoes gave us a lot of souvenirs. But the best part there is the onsen, whose owner so happens to be a friend of Elise’s dad, and we slept at his house for a night. It’s really my first time in an onsen. But bathing in the onsen with Michael, Roy and Masaki was a memorable experience. There was this warmth feeling (not only from the onsen, but from everything else as well) and the feeling that we are all brothers.
To cut it short, I was really busy ~_~
And well, the next thing was to clean my room for the Japanese/Korean New Year, so while Elise has her cousins to help her out in her mansion I have do my room, give it a brand new look and rearrange all the things.
BTW I have broadband already!! Yay!
Okay…downloading fruits basket manga…

Plastic Pimpy Angels
Yay! There is an angel on top of the Christmas tree. A really naughty angel, after pairing it up a Barbie doll hehehehe….no one will ever notice. I’m so evil hohoho. Nah, I’ll take it down later today in case Elise decides to check the Christmas tree…
So what’s with yesterday’s orientation? Nothing much, except that they explained about the payment, classes, what are we going to learn and a tour round the building. We must have at least 90% attendance +_+ and I have the timetable with me already. Hehehe there is space for part time jobs (eyes glisten) Money!~! Money Money I need them!!!
But so far, there were no replies from the oh-so-many resumes that I have sent out by e-mail. ~_~
So, Heal is going to Singapore after getting a scholarship. Elise is gonna do her highschool in ISKL after GSCE. Shafiq is joining me after National Service. And I’m gonna be a computer engineer after 3 years. That is, I think how life just is. Hopefully everything sticks to this script and no accidents happen. Only we can plan and see the output, which we can never tell.
Now, I’m gonna download even more manga. Let’s just start with Ichigo Mashimaro. Also, I have my broadband is coming, but dunno when. However, I have some tips from my niychan that we have to pressure the people there and I’m gonna do just that!!
I’ve been helping Elise decorating her Christmas tree (and incidentally, the entire room and also wrapping Christmas presents together with her Japanese cousins Atsuko and Mayuko) last night. So far, I’ve taken them to Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam, Times Square, The Japanese teahouse (in a forest) in KL and also Taman Titiwangsa. So, I’m tired now. Goodnight. I need my nap.
Orientation no oretachi
Today’s gonna be my college orientation day at 12 noon today and I’m like pretty excited as this will be the second time I will be meeting a large group of people that I do not know (the first time would be in CosMas!, although I got to chat with Mask-chan quite sometime before it). I couldn’t sleep last night until 3am and woke up at 7 this morning…I know I’m gonna be tired, but hey, I can sleep when I come home…
On a happier note, they have at last released the 36th chapter of Pretty Face scantilation (it stands for scanned translation, for those not from the world of manga). I’m gonna download it now, once my firewall download is complete. According to my cousin who had read the entire manga in Chinese, there is altogether 6 books in Pretty Face and chapter 35 is just book 4 +_+ but still, I’m glad to be able to read the English version. Thanks to the people who took all the trouble to scan and translate it for free!!
Christmas is coming!! It’s just 2 more days and Elise is baking Christmas vegetarian dishes (in case you didn’t know, her family is vegetarian) while I’m rushing to deck the halls and Christmas tree at her home (for some reason I feel like a part time worker). Elise’s home now looks like…er, any other western home celebrating Christmas, complete with all the holly and mistletoe <---- real ones were used XD. The pine tree, is of course fake as everyone (including me) thinks that it’s a waste to chop down a perfect tree just for Christmas so the yearly old Christmas tree was brought out. Elise’s parents are busy working as they have to complete everything by Christmas!! I and Elise on the other hand is busy preparing for it!!
Yay!! My mom is finally getting Streamyx for me!! But she says it will be the minimal one ~_~ Now for the mammoth task of convincing her to get me that 512k package as I want to do heavy downloading and file sharing once I get it. Nyahahaha!!
PS: If you realized I have been playing Christmas-themed songs for a few days now!! XD
College, hackers and tang yuen/Christmas
Yes. The title says it all for this weekend. I went online in the midnight on Friday to download the rest of the chapters in Pretty Face in IRC. I queued 3 files for download and saw another guy downloading another manga from the same server, in which he/she was in queue just below mine. Suddenly, the taskbar disappeared. The Internet explorer that I was typing my blog in disappeared when I click blog this. I ignored this and continued to wait for mIRC to download my file, and the PC crashed. The computer reported that the harddisk was inaccessible and I had to use chkdsk to fix it. The problem doesn’t end here. The hacker apparently managed to make explorer.exe to corrupt one of the HIVE files (a file which is essential to Windows XP) and because of this, Windows refused to start, leaving me no choice but to overwrite the corrupt version of windows with a new one (from the XP CD), backed up all my important files and program settings and reformatted the computer and reinstalled only the stuff I need. BTW, my PC was formatted with NTFS before, which I never really trusted so I changed it back to FAT32 with FDISK and FORMAT. All those took me 1 night to fix ~_~
The moral of this story is, whenever downloading with mIRC/BitTorent/Kazaa/EMule and you refuse to use an antivirus (like me because it practically HOGS resources) always use a firewall so that no fusking hacker idiot would trash your PC for really pathetic reasons. Some people ARE pathetic, to the point that they will give you hell over really small reasons like the guy/girl which was behind me in the Fserv queue. I’m pretty sure I was hacked as there is no reason for windows to touch that file.
Okay, for the other two stories. My parents registered me for college last Saturday and the course of my choice was Computer Engineering, like what I have said before. It’s the Informatics College behind the Bank of China, near Ampang Park. Whee!! A new life.
The autumn festival was just yesterday and my cousins came over to have a feast at the herbal chicken and the tang yuen that my parents made. Both were delicious XD. Elise is back and Shafiq is in London. Phooey. Loose some get some. But at least Elise is here and I went to her house to help out with the Christmas tree while she makes Irish Fruitcake (really rich fruitcakes that will give you a headache if not taken with eggnog). Her Japanese cousins are already here and they are taking a self-guide tour round KLCC. Everyone called me Junishi-kun XD. Yeah. Call me just that next time XD.
So now, I need to sleep…
